Silk has been renowned for centuries as a valuable and luxurious commodity, often associated with wealth and status. The strongest of natural fibers, silk retains its shape, drapes well, caresses the figure, and because of its high absorbency, it is easily garment dyed in a variety of deep colors. “Crepe de Chine” is the name of the fabric type, which is made into crêpe-like material from highly twisted filament yarns during manufacturing, achieving a gauze-like character in structure. Under a magnifying glass woven chiffon resembles a fine net, or mesh, which allows it to have see-through properties. Our Eco-friendly 100% Washable “Silk Crepe De Chine” is a plain weave, extremely airy, transparent fabric with a still, or “matte” finish. Designed for soft texture, it’s comfortably lightweight and suitable for sewing into a variety of apparel body styles.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Tianello garments are always prewashed or garment dyed so they are always "Pre-Shrunk". Machine wash warm with like colors, and with mild detergent (do not use bleach, and do not pour fabric softener directly on garment). Tumble dry low. Warm, steam iron (if needed).

Our loose fitting SILK woven Yuriko Kimono features an unstructured front opening that sweeps downward into long points, which when left open creates a "waterfall" drape, or they can be tied into a simple "fashion knot". The "Juliet sleeves" are ¾ length and they have stylish, flared "bell shaped” openings. The backside of the jacket has a slight arched hemline that comes to handkerchief points on the hips.
