Silk has been renowned for centuries as a valuable and luxurious commodity, often associated with wealth and status. The strongest of natural fibers, silk retains its shape, drapes well, caresses the figure, and because of its high absorbency, it is easily garment dyed in a variety of deep colors. “Crepe de Chine” is the name of the fabric type, which is made into crêpe-like material from highly twisted filament yarns during manufacturing, achieving a gauze-like character in structure. Under a magnifying glass woven chiffon resembles a fine net, or mesh, which allows it to have see-through properties. Our Eco-friendly 100% Washable “Silk Crepe De Chine” is a plain weave, extremely airy, transparent fabric with a still, or “matte” finish. Designed for soft texture, it’s comfortably lightweight and suitable for sewing into a variety of apparel body styles.

This ingenious TENCEL™ blend is a wonderful combination of fibers that provide much appreciated comfort and “easy care” practicality. Tencel lends weight to create long lines and an elegant drape. For the environmentally conscious, Tencel comes from a creation process using 100% biodegradable cellulose fiber that is processed using an organic solvent, then spun into a luxurious fiber. The Cotton natural fibers used in this blend give this fabric added strength and “breathability” for long wearing ease. Finally, the Spandex addition affords this micro knit to maintain a delightful elasticity that keeps the shape of the garment, yet allows for figure flattering lines. This synergy of fibers creates a “Whisper” soft hand which makes for an ideal garment in keeping the wearer cool and comfortable.

Our  S.S. Tee was designed using a TENCEL™ Knit Jersey  fabric chosen for long wearing comfort and minimal care. With costume origins from traditional ballet corps in Europe during the early 1800’s, the elegant short tunic design of this silhouette has enjoyed decades of popularity among women of all ages. The refined texture adds a semi sheer and fashionable touch to support the soft hand of the fabric. 

Our pullover S..S. Tee features a scoop-neck that is very flattering to the décolleté, but with modest exposure. The backside neckline is reinforced with inside facing for durable wear. Long sleeves provide a feminine touch to this Tee top. The square bottom hem falls to the upper hips and is finished with a simple turned-over trim. Subtle stitching throughout enhances the fashion simplicity of this short tunic body style.
