Linen is a bast fiber, made from the fibers of the flax plant, and it is labor-intensive to manufacture, thus produced in relatively small quantities. When fabricated, it is highly valued for its’ smooth texture, organic natural luster, and exceptional coolness in hot weather. A very durable and strong fabric, linen is one of the few that is stronger wet than dry, and it has no lint or pilling tendency. This signature blend of Tencel is a wonderful combination of refinement and practicality. Tencel lends weight to create long lines and an elegant drape, along with a soft feel and suede-like finish. For the environmentally-conscious, Tencel comes from a creation process using 100% biodegradable cellulose fiber that is processed using an organic solvent, then spun into a luxurious fiber.

Rayon, or Viscose Rayon, was the first manufactured textile fiber, invented in 1884 in France, but has been produced for global commercial use since 1905. Different from other man-made fibers, Rayon is not synthetic, being made from regenerated wood pulp, an Eco-natural, cellulose-rich raw material. Design elements incorporated in this silhouette reach back to the “chemise moderne” styles of the early 20th century which have enjoyed immense popularity among women of all ages for decades. Our version here embodies several feminine touches that render this wardrobe staple a soft look to match the sumptuous drape of our signature Tencel fabric.

This wardrobe essential is garment dyed for rich coloration and is offered in select season relevant hues. This benchmark silhouette retains its’ fashion integrity when designed for use with numerous modern fabrics produced for women’s clothing. Please note that this generously cut blouse might require a smaller size than what you would normally buy (refer to the “Size & Fit” chart below).

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Tianello garments are always prewashed or garment dyed so they are always "Pre-Shrunk" NO Dry Cleaning necessary. Machine wash warm with like colors, and with mild detergent (do not use bleach, and do not pour fabric softener directly on garment). Tumble dry low. Warm, steam iron (if needed).

THE STORY

Our Tianello TENCEL™ "Shiane" Blouse features a point collar with wide revers (showing as duo fold-back lapels) thus creating a stylish V-neckline. The button down front has twin stitched reinforcement for added durability. Rich draping flows downward from the shoulders to a squared bottom hem that falls to the upper thighs. Generous side slits provide subtle flare to the hips and appreciable comfort. The backside sports an enlarged yoke. The Full Length length sleeves are finished with folding French square cuffs. A generous full bodied fit flatters the torso, giving this top a classic, almost seasonless look.
