"Luxe print artistry" helps define our supple Machu Picchu Alena Top, born of natural fiber, Eco-friendly Washable Silk Crêpe de Chine for wearability and minimal care. Uncomplicated styling here is supported by an alluring Inca inspired motif print which adds distinctive character to this attention grabbing creation.

Our Alena Top charms the eye with the simplicity of a single stitch line on the hem of its’ classic scoop neck, which gives this silhouette an elegant appeal that is very desirable in women’s clothing. Elbow length sleeves flow into a generous bell design that seemingly "waves" with the slightest arm movement. This pullover blouse drapes into a fluid hemline at the hip, affording a full bodied, comfortable fit overall.

The wearable shape of our Alena Top makes it easy to complement a tulip skirt, flood pant, or pair of classic leggings. Accessorizing with a solid color knit pant and flattering jewelry would create a dramatic fashion ensemble worthy of any special occasion, dinner date, or afternoon luncheon.
  • Pullover blouse with scoop neck
  • Elbow length bell sleeves
  • Fluid hemline at the hip
  • Full bodied frame
  • Subtle, single needle stitching throughout

Our expressive Machu Picchu fabric print draws inspiration from the vast color palettes found at the famous Historic Sanctuary, renowned as one of the "New Seven Wonders of the World". Such colors are embodied within the rich tropical mountain forest of this "eco-region", most notably among the diversity of flora and fauna there. Machu Picchu means "old peak", but it is often referred to as the "City of the Incas", home of the architectural aesthetic known as the "wayrona style". Design elements of our print here include linear strokes reminiscent of the steep slopes of the Andes Mountains, trapezoidal shapes drawn in the "wayrona style", stylized block prints of ancient Inca symbols, and a mélange of diamonds that were typical in Inca artistry. This magnificent print complements the elegant drape of our sumptuous Silk Crêpe de Chine.

FABRIC CONTENTS: 100% Silk 12MM Crepe de Chine

Silk has been renowned for centuries as a valuable and luxurious commodity, often associated with wealth and status. The strongest of natural fibers, silk retains its shape, drapes well, caresses the figure, and because of its high absorbency, it is easily garment dyed in a variety of deep colors. This 100% Washable Silk Crêpe de Chine is woven to have a supple, organic feel, unlike many fabrics woven with synthetic fibers. With a 12 mommes weight factor, our Eco-friendly silk of choice is lightweight but is suitable for sewing into many apparel body styles.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Machine wash cold, with mild detergent. Tumble dry warm, or line dry. Warm iron (silk setting)
